PSHE
At Dubmire we want all of our children to gain a deeper understanding into their personal, social, emotional and mental health needs. Therefore, our PSHE curriculum (Jigsaw) enables children to build skills, attitudes, self-esteem, resilience and confidence across the school.
Personal, social, emotional and mental health development is crucial for children to lead happy and healthy lives. At Dubmire, our Nursery and Reception classes follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework which allows staff to model and guide children through their discovery of emotions. These emotions support children in shaping their world around them, enabling them to create a secure platform in which they can achieve at school and in later life.
Our PSHE curriculum continues to develop deeper throughout KS1 and KS2 where there are six Puzzles that are specifically designed to progress in sequence across the year:
*Autumn 1 - Being Me in My World
*Autumn 2 - Celebrating Difference (including anti-bullying)
*Spring 1 - Dreams and Goals
*Spring 2 - Healthy Me
*Summer 1 - Relationships
*Summer 2 - Changing Me (including Sex Education)
